Greenleaf Technology (hereafter “Greenleaf”) utilizes PayPal and Cart66 to process payments for Greenleaf’s products. Whether payment is made directly with a credit card or via PayPal balance transfer, Greenleaf has strictly limited access to your private information. PayPal and Cart66 – as third party companies and strictly distinct legal entities from Greenleaf Technology – are entirely responsible for the protection of your information. While these companies go to great lengths to secure your confidential information, Greenleaf is in no way liable for any breaches that may occur.
Greenleaf is strictly committed to protecting the privacy rights of its customers. The confidential information that Greenleaf does have access to (names, shipping information, etc.) will never be sold or shared with any unauthorized third party.
Warranty – Repair and Replacement
Greenleaf Technology hardware products come with a 90 day limited warranty from the date the product was purchased. This warranty is not transferable and is only granted to the original purchaser of the unit. This warranty does not cover software or any third party products including software and hardware included with or added on to the warranted product. In the event of a defect, Greenleaf will remedy the problem by repair or replacement, as deemed necessary by Greenleaf. In the event that the unit has been subjected to misuse, abuse, or unauthorized alteration, modification or repair, this warranty will be rendered null and void.
Greenleaf reserves the right to request that the Customer provide documentation illustrating the unit malfunction that includes, but is not limited to:
- system log (syslog)
- unedited photographs of the damaged or malfunctioning hardware
- unedited photographs of the shipping container and packaging
The conditions not covered by warranty may include but not be limited to damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, failure to follow instructions given in accompanying documentation, use of non-Greenleaf Technology supplied or approved replaceable components, exposure of media to strong magnetic fields, exposure to extreme environments such as temperature, humidity, shock, vibration and power surges.
Under no circumstances shall Greenleaf Technology be liable for any damages, including lost profits, savings or other incidental or consequential damages from use or misuse of Greenleaf products. In no way shall Greenleaf Technology’s liability exceed the price paid for the product.
In order to have a malfunctioning unit repaired or replaced, the Customer must contact Greenleaf Technology for repair authorization within the warranty period. The Customer must be able to provide a proof of purchase including the date of purchase. A Greenleaf representative will attempt to troubleshoot the malfunctioning unit via phone and/or e-mail support, and recommend shipping the product back to Greenleaf only when the Greenleaf-determined appropriate troubleshooting measures have been taken. The Customer is responsible for the initial shipping costs of the malfunctioning product; once Greenleaf examines the product and confirms a fault in the manufacturer-supplied hardware, the Customer will be reimbursed the one-way shipping costs provided the warranty has not been voided (see above). The Customer must agree that if the unit is found not to be eligible for warranty service due to any misuse defined in this warranty, the Customer may be charged for repair or replacement of the unit. The Customer must agree that the replacement unit may not be a brand new unit, though the condition of the replacement unit will equal or exceed the original purchased unit.
Warranty – Returns
Greenleaf Technology provides a 30 day no-restriction return policy for all hardware products. Provided there are no warranty-covered faults or malfunctions (see above) the customer will be responsible for shipping costs and will be assessed a 15% restocking fee.
Any hard drive purchased through Greenleaf Technology is covered through the hard drive manufacturer’s warranty.
Greenleaf Technology reserves the right to change and modify the terms and conditions of sale, as well as those describing warranty coverage, without restriction or notice. The policy in force on the date of product purchase will be honored.
